Carrie was a very devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and aunt. She was very active in the Eastern Star and her Rebekah Lodge, spending many hours in service to her groups and her community. She took great pride in her family and extended family and always cherished them, as well as the many, many friends that surrounded her. Her smile and laughter were infectious and positively touched everyone she was ever in contact with. She was especially close to her grandchildren who gave her any days of joy and comfort.

Carrie took great pride in her Maine heritage and believed that Maine was where all "life began".
