Harold Brewer, 58, of the Mt. Carmel Community in Taylor County, son of Sadie Warren Brewer and the late Elza William Brewer, was born in Larue County, December 12, 1923. He died at 1 p.m., Friday, Dec. 25, 1981, near his home. He was a member of the Zion Separate Baptist Church. He was a veteran of World War II, having served his country in the United States Army. He united in marriage to Sudie Carlisle Ratcliff August 13, 1976. He was preceded in death by one daughter: Linda Brewer who died in infancy. Besides his wife, he is survived by six daughters: Jo Ann Morris, Roberta Walker, Wanda Underwood, and Pamela Morgan, all of Campbellsville; Paula Pike, Star Route; and Jeanie Hines of Elizabethtown; one step-son and one step-daughter: Alfred Ratcliff of Greensburg and Lois Parrott of Indianapolis, Indiana. Other survivors include seven grandchildren; twelve step-grandchildren; twenty-one step-great-grandchildren; his mother: Mrs. Sadie Warren Brewer of Star Route; five sisters and five brothers: Harrison Brewer, Daniel Brewer, Hiestand Brewer, Norma Skaggs, Kathleen Brewer, and Margie Brewer, all of Star Route; James Brewer of Hodgenville; Gene Brewer of Louisville; Aileen Skaggs and Shellie Allen, both of Hodgensville; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at 3 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 27, at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home by the Rev. Ronda Arnett and the Rev. Robert Morris. Burial was in Bethel Cemetery in Larue County. Pallbearers were Darrell and David Skaggs, Dewey Ratcliff, Douglas Skaggs, Jeffrey Brewer, and Kee Ratcliff.
