The service was held at Dreisinger's Funeral Home in Elmira, ON on May 10, 2012.
Visitation began at 10 a.m. and the funeral followed at 11:30.
The officiant was personable and the service was very personalized, family-oriented and warm.
There was special effort to include grandson, Joshua, in the proceedings.
Florence loved her family, her plants, her ceramics and her crocheting.
There was laughter when the officiant said that Florence was "always 29" which is the same thing her twin Dorothy always said about herself.
Florence married her husband of 60 years, Earl Maxwell, on May 16, 1953.
They were the parents of:
Cynthia (wife of Henry Strome)
Darlene (wife of Douglas Ward)
Kevin (husband of Linda)
Kimberly
and
Craig (husband of Janet).
Her internment was private - as per her immediate family's wishes.
