Nonnie Morrow was born June 22, 1911 and died May 16, 1997 at the age of 86. Nonnie's mother was Ada F. Skipper, the first Skipper born in Louisiana. Nonnie's grandparents, William J Skipper and Martha Ann Lucas, were born in Henry County Alabama. They traveled to Rusk County Texas after 1872 where they farmed and continued to increase their family. The Skippers moved to Ringgold, Bienville Parish, La. after 1888. Nonnie's mother, Ada, was born in Ringgold, 1889. Ada married Leary Morrow and started their family in Ringgold. Other friends and family members moved from Ringgold to West Carroll Parish. The Skippers, Morrows and Franklins were included in that group. Nonnie's parents were successful farmers and a valuable asset to the growth of the rural community of Epps La.
