Alice Margaret Hoshor, Savannah, MO, died Tuesday, June 29, 1999, at a St. Joseph, MO, health care center.

Born April 9, 1913, in Hopkins, MO, to W.W. and Ada Effie Pistole Alexander, she had taught school in the Guilford, Westboro, Graham and Savannah, MO, areas.

She married Charles Franklin Hoshor on Feb. 17, 1946.

Mrs. Hoshor was a 1931 graduate of Hopkins High School, Hopkins, and received her Bachelor's degree in home economics from Northwest Missouri State Teachers College, Maryville, and her Master's degree in food and nutrition from the University of Iowa, Iowaa City, Iowa. She had resided in the Hopkins, Westboro, Graham and Savannah, MO, areas.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Savannah, MO.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; a brother, Earl Raymond Alexander; two step-sons, Dean Hoshor and Charles W. Hoshor; and a step-daughter, Mary Jane Laur.

Survivors include a brother, Robert L. Alexander of Hopkins; 15 step-grandchildren; 21 step-great grandchildren; two step-great-great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 3, at Breit & Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel, Savannah, MO, with the Rev. Elmer McClaflin officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home, one hour prior to services.

Inurnment will be at a later date in the Salem Cemetery, Barnard, MO.
