Played professional baseball with the Montreal Expos and the Mexican League. From 1983 to 1991 he managed in the Baltimore Orioles minor league. He was the Baltimore Orioles hitting coach under manager Johnny Oates. Also was the manager of the Oklahoma City 89ers. He led the team to the AAA American Association Championship in 1996. Throughout his career, he worked with such baseball greats as Cal Ripken, Jr., Manny Ramirez, and Mark McLemore.
