Birth: 2nd of ten known children in Oxford township, Butler county, Ohio.

Her father, Kennedy Brooks was born 1806 in Ireland and her mother, Elizabeth Butler Brooks was born 13 MAR 1806 in Pittsford, Rutland county, Vermont, granddaughter of Anthony Butler and Deborah Hill great granddaughter of James Hill and Dorothy Learned great great granddaughter of Ebenezer Learned and Jerusha Baker.

*Andrew Mears Brooks of Springfield, Sangamon county, Illinois, birth: Oxford, Butler county, Ohio October 9, 1831; admitted to SAR March 1895.

She was also the sister of prominent physician Dr. Robert F. Brooks, MD. of Carthage, Missouri. He preceded her in death in 1899. Other known brothers and sisters; John K. Brooks, Anna M. Brooks, Andrew M. Brooks and Peter H. Brooks, Lucretia Brooks Miller and Sarah E. 'Lizzie' Brooks

Census: 1850, age 17 Oxford township, Butler county, Ohio with parents & nine siblings.

Census: 1870, age 38 Center Creek, Jasper county, Missouri with brothers, medical student Peter Hill, farmer John Kennedy, she house keeper.

Census: 1880, age 43(sic) Butte township, Sutter county, California boarding with the Dennis family, noted a teacher.

Census: 1900, age 67, single, Galena Township, Jasper county, Missouri , noted as west of city and south of Turkey creek, farming.

She owned a local farm and was involved in farming and mining.

Aspasia Brooks, 77 passed away at her home in rural Joplin, one report had Newton county, Missouri, of complications of heart disease.

Funeral arrangements were cared for by the Frank-Sievers Undertaking Company of Joplin and the remains were sent to Oxford, OH. for burial, Missouri Death Certificate
