Alice was the daughter of Philip & Rosanna (St. Hilaire) Paradise, who were both from Quebec. Alice's mother died less than a week before Alice did. Alice was the half-sister of my great-grandfather Wilfred. She died at the family home, 403 Chelsea Street, East Boston, of lobar pneumonia due to influenza. Though only 17, her occupation on her death record is given as "ammunition worker". She was buried at Holy Cross on Sept. 25.
