F, 158th Pennsylvania Infantry (aka "Drafted Militia"), and honorably discharged with his company August 12, 1863.
2. Enlisted at the stated age of thirty-nine in Harrisburg August 25, 1864, mustered into federal service there August 27 as a sergeant with Co. H, 202nd Pennsylvania Infantry, and honorably discharged with his company August 3, 1865.
A post-war member of Newville's Sharp Post No. 371, G.A.R., he died from "organic heart disease."
