With her husband, William Pennington, (who survives her) she emigrated from Tennessee, and settled at the place where she died, in 1828.
During the 46 years intervening to her death, she has never resided outside the county, and we believe, never off the farm where she settled and died.
She was a true pioneer woman; did her share in the great battle of reducing the wilds of the county to cultivation and plenty.
In her death, passes away the oldest female settler in the county.
