Samuel Glenn Weathers, 73, of Grandview, Wash., died Dec. 8, 1989, at his home. He was born April 29, 1916, at Kingston, Ark., the son of William Thomas and Julia Ann Patterson Weathers. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Grandview; a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars in Grandview; and a member of IOOF Lodge #116 in Kingston.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Faye Imogene Frisby Weathers of the home; two sons, William C. Weathers of George, Wash., and Norman Paul Weathers of Yakima, Wash.; four daughters, Mrs. Ruth Ann Matheny of Grandview, Wash., Mrs. Barbara Masterjohn of Mission Vallejo, Calif., Mrs. Patricia Greek of Zillah, Wash., and Mrs. Debra Wahne of Redding, Calif.; one brother, Herman Weathers of Huntsville; one sister, Mrs. Lillie Phillips of Springdale; 15 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.

Services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 12, at Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Grandview, Wash. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, December 15, with IOOF rites by Kingston Lodge #116 at the Kingston Cemetery. Rev. Jim Spurlock will officiate. Arrangements are by Brashears Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Park McFerrin, Carroll McFerrin, Wendell McFerrin, Dave Casteel, Clebert Armes, Bill Weathers, Fred Weathers, J.D. Hawthorn and Noel Armes.

Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 14, at Brashears Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to Lower Valley Hospice or First Baptist Church of Grandview, c/o Smith Funeral Home, 4th and Elm, Grandview, WA 98930.
