Funeral Mass for Bernhard T. "Doc" Millburg, of Morrisonville, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in St. Maurice Catholic Church there by the Rev. Father John T. Hannigan. Burial will be in St. Maurice Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday in Hough Colonial Home at Morrisonville. The family suggests memorials be directed to the Taylorville Chapter of the Alzheimers Association. Mr. Millburg died at 1:40 p.m. Monday, November 2, 1998, in Meadow Manor at Taylorville. He was 82 years old on May 24. He was a pharmacist and owned and operated Millburg's Drug Store for 30 years with his wife. After graduating from Farmersville High School in the class of 1933, he attended Springfield Junior College and St. Louis School of Pharmacy. He was a former member of the Morrisonville Community Unit School District Board of Education, past grand marshall and master of ceremonies of Morrisonville Homecoming, and a member of the alumni association of St. Louis Pharmacy College. He was voted Man of the Year by the Morrisonville Masonic Lodge. He was active in St. Maurice Parish, member of the Knights of Columbus Council 1151 of Morrisonville and past Grand Knight, and the Effingham Area Cursillo. He was born in Havana, a son of Frank and Ardella Kraus Millburg. He married Merle Ree Beil on February 24, 1936, in Farmersville. She survives. Surviving also are daughters, Joyce White of Morrisonville, Janice Hough of Raymond, Jill Bell of Taylorville; sons, Tom Millburg of Cape Girardeau, Mo., Ted Millburg of Morrisonville, Terry Millburg of Taylorville; sisters, Miriam Young of Tuson, Ariz., Carla Comerford of Springfield, Sylvia Havener of Oklahoma City, Okla.; 21 grandchildren, four step grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, 11 step great grandchildren, two foster step great grandchildren and one step great great grandchild. Preceding him in death were brothers, Harvey, Warren and Donald Millburg; sisters, Barbara "Bobbi" Millburg and Ardith Rose Murphy; a grandson, John Martin Carter on April 6, 1986, and a great grandson, Landon Glenn Burget on August 8, 1994.
