SPRINGFIELD - Carla E. Millburg Comerford, 69, of Springfield, formerly of Pawnee, died Wednesday, March 14, 2001, at St. John's Hospital.

She was born March 3, 1932, in Farmersville, the daughter of Frank and Ardella Kraus Millburg. She married John Comerford in 1952 in Pawnee. He preceded her in death in 1963.

Mrs. Comerford had worked as a clerk in Millburg's Drugstore in Pawnee and at St. John's Pharmacy in Springfield. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Pawnee, St. Mary's Altar and Rosary and Legion of Mary of Springfield.

Survivors: five sons, Joseph Brent of Pawnee, John Randal of Colorado Springs, Colo., Vincent Kent of Joplin, Mo., James Bradley of Hancock, Mass., and Barry Douglas of Laral, Md.; two daughters, Gayle Marie Curtis of Pawnee and Dawn Theresa Bartolazzi of Auburn; 19 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a sister, Sylvia Havener of Midwest City, Okla.

Services: 10 a.m. Tuesday, St. Mary's Catholic Church, Pawnee, the Rev. Charles Dalhby and the Rev. Steve Janoski officiating. Burial: Calvary Cemetery, Pawnee.
