Mrs Emma Mae Gorman, wife of D H Gorman, a mile East of Five Forks, died at 5:15 o'clock this morning of cancer, aged 55 years.
She had been ailing for three years and bedfast for for the past three months.
Besides her husband, Mrs Gorman leaves four brothers and one sister, as follows; William Barnhart, Ringgold,Md; Emmert, Five Forks; John, Hagerstown; Harry, Williamsport, Md. and Mrs Frank Brown, Greencastle. she was the daughter of Harvey and Alice (Pentz) Barnhart, and was born and reared at Middleburg. She was a resident of this county all her life except for ten years when she and her husband lived near Bloomington, Illinois. she was a member of the Otterbein branch of the United Brethren Church.
The funeral will be held Thursday afternoon, meeting at the house at 1:30 and services in the Dunkerd church near Welsh Run at 2:30 o'clock and burial in the graveyard at the church. Rev. N C Brechbiel, Waynesboro, will conduct the service.
The body may be viewed Wednesday evening at the house.
Rev. Frank Burkett will assist at the funeral.
