Wilhelmina Dell Miller, aka "Mina", "Dell", "Nina", "May" or "Minnie", was a daughter of Dr. Benjamin P. & Amarilla (Balcom) Miller. When she was 16 years old, both her parents died within 4 months. Mina then lived with her younger sibling, Benjamin G. Miller, in the household of court appointed guardian, Nelson Rinedollar. At age 21, she inherited a one-quarter interest ($250) in a land trust her father's will describes. Her first 2 husbands are noted in her father's 1000 page probate file from Carroll Co., Illinois. Mina lived in Illinois for at least 21 years; then in Denver & Northern Colorado area for at least 10 to 12 years; then in Phoenix, Arizona, for at least 6 years; before she moved to Santa Barbara, California by 1912, living as "divorced" in a home she "owns".

Mina's last known address prior to Camarillo State Hospital was:

426 Garden Street, Santa Barbara, California.

This is where she had lived since at least 1912, before living at the state hospital. Mina likely had Alzheimer's and spent her remaining time at the state's "mental hospital", said to be the largest in the world at that time. The California Death Index confirms her birth as 5 Mar 1864, in Illinois and death of 3 Nov 1943 in Camarillo State Hospital; fathers last name, Miller; Mother's last name "Balkin" (sic) s/b Balcom. Funeral home bill/report also confirms all previously known information. Her plot: 5 West- Space- 17- Division- 7 may be an unmarked grave.

Mina was known to marry at least three times. Her first two husbands' deaths are unknown and a documented marriage dissolution between either of her last two husbands remains undiscovered. Mina's marriage chronology follows as:

1 ) MINA D. MILLER m. 22 Jan 1885, Carroll Co., to GEORGE F[ranklin] BLESSING.

"Nina Blessing & George Blessing" divorced 14 Feb 1890, in Denver, Colorado.

......... No conclusive info on George's location after divorce. Mina's 1900 census enumeration shows she did not have any children with any husband to that point and no children show in any subsequent census or documentation.

2a) MAY MILLER m. 3 Jul 1888, in Denver, Colorado, to C.E.W. KRUEEKEBERG.

2b) DELL M. MILLER m. 23 Mar 1890, in Greeley, Colorado, to C.E.W. KREUKEBERG.

Her 1st m. to Mr. Kruekeberg is invalid, since they remarry each other 37 days after "Nina's" (Mina's) divorce from George Blessing.

......... Documentation for Conrad E. William Kruekeberg includes birth date and location, immigration, marriage, travel history/phys. description, 15yr apothecary druggist/doctor history, has resided in NY, CO, IL, NE and Germany. Mina's father's probate file mentions Mina's marriage to "C.E. William Krueckeberg", who remarried ca. 1900, to "EMMA" born 4 Sep 1879 in Germany, and they had a daughter "EMMY". Emma's and her daughter's 1922 passport application shows them living in New York, since 1901, along with the following:

3) Mina m. 03 Sep 1893 Salt Lake, Utah, to LEWIS B. BOOTH.

Lewis's parents were John Booth & Hannah (Thomas) Booth. Lewis's and his brother Otto's paternal grandparent were Robert & Phebe Booth, whom Lewis & Otto are living with after their parents died in 1868 & 1871. The 1900 census of Phoenix, Maricopa Co., Arizona, has Mina married for 2 years to Lewis, a saloon keeper, with NO CHILDREN ever born. Lewis B. Booth shows in the May 1904 & 1906 voter registration rolls for the same location. In 1910, Lewis shows in the Teller, Colorado census, without wife but listed as 'married', living with brother Otto and his wife, where he and Otto are listed as saloon keepers. The California Death Index shows Lewis B. Booth died on 1 Dec 1938, in San Diego Co. The death/obit record for his brother Otto Booth, mentioned his "brother Lewis".
