Amarilla may have had blood ties to the Balcom family of Argo, York Twp., Carroll Co., in that a Mary Balcom was documented in the estate records of Amarilla's husband, Benjamin. A Mary Cushman was married to Elliot Riley Balcom, who may have been a brother of Amarilla.

on 10 Apr 1844, in Carroll County, Illinois (Vol. B, page 55, license #73). Record is further confirmed by the fact the marriage record for her son, Benjamin G. Miller, lists his mother's name as "Emerilla Balcom". After Benjamin P. & Amarilla Miller died in 1880/1881, the last name of a court appointed guardian for the son, Benjamin G. Miller, was "Balcom".

.... ORA ALETHA HALL (b 1872/IL) on Apr or Jul 4, 1901, in Shullsburg, Lafayette, Wisconsin. They are found living in Pomona, CA in 1910 & 1920, with no known children. CA death index: died Oct 24, 1936 in Los Angeles County.
