Birth 16 Jul 1754 in Montgomery Co.,PA. In 1788, John was living in Rockingham County,Virginia in Capt. John Ruddells Co. # 11 and in 1789 living in Rockingham Co. Va. Dist. 7 with 113 acres of land. John was living in Greene County, Tennessee in 1793 and owned land adjoining his brother Philip Bible In 1801 living in Blount Co. TN owned 200 acres ( Blount Co, TN Tax list ). John moved to Marion County, Tennessee in 1826 and received land from the Cherokee Indians in 1827. Living in Marion County John lived at the mouth of Battle Creek among the Native American tribes. Some Bible family members moved west and settled six miles below Waco, Texas before 1838 and others moved to Indian Territory of Oklahoma.

To receive the below entitlement of lands located in the Cherokee Eastern Reservation lands, a member of John Adam Bible family most likely would have had a Native American wife, that being said Nellie Foreman a Native American woman married Adam Bible, son of John Adam Bible. The exact location of the John Adam Bible Reserve was located exactly where the Bible Cemetery is located in Marion County, Tennessee. These lands occupied by John Bible were Native American Reserve lands....

This indenture this 11th day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty seven between Andrew Ross and Susannah Ross of the Cherokee Nation of the one part and John Bible of Marion County and State of Tennessee of the other part Witness that for and in consideration of the sum of $3000 in hand paid by these presents doth give, grant, bargain and sell unto the said John Bible, his heirs and assigns forever one certain tract or parcel of land situated, lying and being in said County of Marion and State of Tennessee on Battle Creek on the North side of the Tennessee River, Butted and bounded as followeth Viz: Beginning at a large White Oak the South West corner of said land thence running east one hundred and ninety five poles to a stake on said creek thence down said creek south 70 degrees east 90 poles to a stake on Robert McLemore's line the bank of said creek thence east with said line 40 poles to as take and pointers thence north 350 poles to a beach and bunch of lynns thence West 60 poles to the foot of the mountain crossing a fork of said creek known by the name of Fiery Gizzard thence north 32 poles along the foot to a stake near a marked walnut thence south 320 poles to the beginning containing by estimation 640 acres being a tract of land granted to Susannah Lowry now wife of the said Andrew Ross by a treaty between the United States and the Cherokee Nation to have and to hold the a fore said tact with the Here ditaments and appurtenances there to belonging or in any wise appertaining to the only proper use or behalf of him the said John Bible, his heirs and the above land and bargain ed permise we will warrant and forever defend against the lawful claim or claims of the each and every other person or persons what soever. In testimony where we have here unto set our hands and affixed our seals this day and date above written.

Bible Senr. of the State of Tennessee Marion County of one part & George Bible & Christopher C. Bible of the County State aforesaid of the other part witnesseth that for and in a consideration of the sum of three thousand dollars in hand paid by the said George Bible & Christopher C. Bible the receipt where of is hereby acknowledged & considered [confirmed?] said John Bible Senr. hath given granted bargained & sold by these presents do give grant bargain & sell unto the said George Bible & Christopher C. Bible their heirs and assigns for ever one certain tract or parcel of land situated lying & being in the County of Marion & State of Tennessee on Battle Creek Butted & bounded as follows - Beginning at a large white oak the southwest corner of said land thence running west one hundred & ninety five poles to a stake on said creek thence down said Creek South seventy degrees east ninety poles to a stake on Robert McLamores line on the bank of said creek thence east with said line forty poles to a stake, & pointers North three hundred & fifty poles to a beech & bunch of Iynns thence west sixty poles to the foot of the mountain crossing a fork of said creek known by the name of the Fiery Gizzard thence hundred & twenty poles to the begaining containing by estimation six hundred & forty acres being a tract of land known as Susan Lowry,s reservation to have & to hold the aforesaid tract of land with the here ditaments & appurtenances there unto belonging or In any vise appertaining to the only proper use & behalf of them the said George Bible & C.C. Bible their heirs and assigns forever & I the said John Bible Senr. for myself & my heirs &c. do covenant to & with the said George & C.C. Bible their heirs to the before recited land & bargained premises I will warrant and forever defend against the lawful claim or claims of all & every person or persons whatsoever
