Mrs. Enola Jones Dies at Madison; Funeral Monday
Mrs. Enola Jones, 74, died at 12:20 o'clock this afternoon at her home in Madison. She had been ill since Sunday night with influenza, which developed into pneumonia.
Mrs. Jones, widow of Everett Jones, who died about two years ago, was born in Moment, Ill. She came to Missouri about 35 years ago and lived in and near Holliday for a number of years before moving to Madison after the death of her husband.
She is survived by eight children; Mrs. C. Ray (Gladys) Duncan (later Henning), Tulsa, Okla.; Mrs. Calvin Smith, St. Anne, Ill.; Mrs. Russell (Glenn) Bondurant, Madison; Wayne Jones, Madison; Vern Jones, Holliday; Elwyn Jones, Clarence; Calvin Jones, Paris, and Frank Jones, Denver, Colo. A brother, O. Hayhurst died here last August.
Mr. and Mrs. Duncan were with her when she died. They had been visiting here and had left for their home in Tulsa., Tuesday, but were recalled when they reached Mexico after her condition became worse.
Funeral services were at the Holliday Christian church, with burial in Bethel Cemetery in Holliday, Mo.
