She was a member of the First Pentecostal Church of Jesus Christ of Rye Cove, Va. She loved her church family and was faithful and very dedicated to the Lord. She loved each and every one. She enjoyed her morning walk at Natural Tunnel State Park and the staff was so kind to her. God bless you all!
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Ramsey, in 1997; her parents, Roy and Lettie Grizzle McDavid; brothers, Ernest McDavid, Paul McDavid, Crawford McDavid and Joe Mc-David; sisters, Hazel Hensley and Mae Baxter.
She is survived by her children, Mike and wife, Jeannie Mc-David, Fort Blackmore, Va., Wayne and wife, Brenda Ramsey, Zola and husband, David Williams, Robin and husband, Troy Dorton, and Doug Ramsey, all of Duffield, Va.; sisters, Betty and husband, Carl Minton, Wanda and husband, Jimmy Hammonds, and Phyllis and husband, Steve Hammonds, all of Duffield, Va.; 11 grandchildren; 12 greatgrandchildren and expecting one great-grandson in January; two stepgrandchildren; several nieces and nephews; two special nieces, Rita Kolassa, Jacksonville, Fla., and Anita Noje, Jacksonville, Fla.; two special nephews, Dwayne and Jonathan Hammonds; special sister-in-law, Sallie McDavid.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Colonial Funeral Home, Weber City, Va., and anytime at the residence of Mrs. Ramsey's sister, Wanda Hammonds.
Funeral services will be held on Friday at 1 p.m. at the First Pentecostal Church of Jesus Christ of Rye Cove, Va., with Elder Clinard Ratliff and Elder Jimmy Hammonds officiating.
Music will be provided by Dwayne and Jonathan Hammonds.
Burial will follow in the Mc-David Family Cemetery, Duffield (Bishoptown), Va.
Pallbearers will be grandsons and nephews.
Honorary pallbearers will be Carl Minton and Charles Audia. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Pentecostal Church of Jesus Christ of Rye Cove, 253 Cloud High Drive, Duffield, Va. 24244.
