Mrs. Charles Palmer, Former Resident of County, Passed Away
Mrs. Fannie Palmer, wife of Charles Palmer, and for many years a resident of Jefferson county, passed away at the hospital in Torrance, Calif., last Saturday night at 8 p. m. Death was due to a complication of diseases. Mrs. Palmer was born April 6. 1858 in Golconda, Ill., where she made her home until 1879, when she came to Colorado to reside. She was united in marriage to Mr. Palmer October 10, 1881 in the Golden Baptist church. They resided at the old Palmer home just east of Golden on 32nd avenue, until 1919, when they moved to Walteria, Calif., to make their home. Mrs. Palmer was a member of the German Methodist church of Illinois, a charter member of Mount Lookout Circle, No. 75. Neighbors of Woodcraft and also a charter member of the Fidelis club. Besides her husband she is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Harold Githens of Glendale, Calif., Mrs. Charles Risdon of Fairmount. and one son, Roy Palmer of Redondo Beach, Calif. Six grandchildren also survive and three brothers, Otto Blatter of Huntington Park. Calif., Ed Blatter, Redondo Beach. Calif., and Chris Blatter, Golconda, 111. Funeral services will be held from the Woods mortuary chapel this afternoon at 2 o'clock, with Rev. Frank M. Taylor of the Golden Baptist church officiating. Burial will be in Golden cemetery. Mount Lookout Circle, No. 75, Neighbors of Woodcraft will conduct the services at the grave
