Born April 17, 1927, in Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of the late Clyde and Roxie (Beheler) Babb and husband of the late Elizabeth "Betty" (Pellegrini) Babb.
Mr. Babb was a veteran of the U. S. Navy, a Mason for over 50 years, and attended Turning Point Free Will Baptist Church.
Survivors include his daughter, Judith Campbell and husband Glen of Spartanburg; son, Robert Babb of Philadelphia, PA; 7 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and numerous cousins.
He was predeceased by his daughter, Patricia Babb Bullington; and brothers, Claude and Buster Babb.
Visitation was 6:00-8:00 PM Thursday, December 1, 2011, at Floyd's North Church Street Chapel.
Funeral services were conducted at 11:00 AM Friday, December 2, 2011, at Floyd's North Church Street Chapel, by Pastor Todd Black.
Burial was in Sunset Memorial Park.
