Eliza married James KITTS on April 24, 1850, in Versailles, Ripley County, Indiana.

She was the mother of four of James' children: Charles Warren, James Marmion, Ella M. (1st m. ROSE, 2nd m. COMBS), and Henry L.

All four of her children were born in California, and the first-born was born in December 1853. The young couple must have moved to California soon after marrying.
