Obituary
Lois E. Worden, age 90, a longtime resident of Buena Vista, WI, passed into the light at St. Mary's Hospital in Rhinelander, WI, on Sunday, March 2, 2003. Boston Funeral Home, the Rev. William Dow officiating. Burial at Liberty Corners Cemetery in the town of Buena Vista.
Mrs. Worden was born July 21, 1912, in Neillsville, WI, a daughter of the late John and Mildred (Fletcher) Dakins. She and her family moved to the Buena Vista area when she was a teen-ager. She was married to Floyd H. Worden on June 6, 1931, at the Buena Vista Methodist Church. He died Oct. 10, 1982. She worked for a brief time at Del Monte Co. She was a member of Buena Vista Methodist Church and the Buena Vista Homemakers. She had been living at the nursing home in Rhinelander the past year.
Survivors include two daughters, Bonita Niemuth and Cheryl (Raymond) Hocking, both of Amherst; two sons, Larry (Kay), Wisconsin Rapids, and Allen (Phyllis), Amherst; one brother, Kenneth (Doris) Dakins, Wisconsin Rapids; two sisters, Eleanor Jaecks, Wausau, and Shirley (William) Clussman, Wautoma; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one daughter, LaNaeh; four brothers; three sisters and one granddaughter.
