George Thomas (Tom) Price was born 8 Jul 1847 in Pisgah, Harrison, Iowa, the son of John & Eliza Jane Adair Price. He married Rebecca Jane Searle 18 Aug 1879 and they were the parents of five children: Sarah Jane, George Thomas, Don Carlos, Charles C. & Joseph Adelbert Price. Sarah, George & Charles all died as infants. Rebecca died in 1884 and Tom married Adlina Eliza (Adeliza) Alger (widow of Andrew Bird McArthur) on 23 Oct 1886. They were the parents of three children: Andrew Bird McArthur Price, Thomas Lawrence Price & Sarah Erma Price.
Tom was killed 13 Nov 1896 while trying to remove a rock from in front of his team of horses and wagon. The horses startled and crushed him.
