In December 1904, he was married to Minnie Leona Lucas, who preceded him in death.
In 1941, he was married to Mrs. Alma Bigler.
Mr. Highman was a member of the Woodsfield Methodist Church.
His survivors were his widow, Mrs. Alma Highman, two daughters, Mrs. Delmas (Thelma) Gibbons and Mrs. Anthony (Beulah) Travenicek of Bellaire, four sons, Allen Highman of Litchfield, Ohio, Burdette Highman of Zanesville, Everett Highman of St. Petersburg, Florida and Ray Highman of the home, sixteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
An infant son preceded him in death.
