ORVILLE GEORGE GISEWHITE
Orville George Gisewhite , 60, of 1207 Pennsylvania Ave, died shortly after arrival at City Hospital, Tuesday, March 24, 1981. He became ill suddenly Tuesday while at work at Talon, Division of Textron, Plant 7.
He was born in Clearfield, Oct. 1, 1920, a son of Abraham and Annabelle Graham Gisewhite. He married Esther Myers Feb. 22, 1941.
He had been employed at Talon for 36 years as a sheetmetal worker. He was negotiator for Sheetmetal Workers Local 12 of Erie.
He was a member of First Church of God.
Survivors, in addition to his wife include three daughters, Georgianna M Winters of Meadville, Mrs Eugene (Leodra) Nevin of Phoenix and Mrs. James (Regina) Rose of Dorset, Ohio; one son, George S of Meadville; four sisters, Mrs. Norman (Helen) Wooster of Pottersdale, Edna Gisewhite of Tyrone, Mrs. Phyliss Bloom of Dubois and Mrs. John (Marian) McCartney of Limestone; two brothers, Abraham Jr of Clearfield and Raymond of Curransville; several nieces and nephews and 12 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister.
Friends may call today from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Roofner-Collins funeral home where services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday with the Rev. Frank Towers of First Church of God officiating. Interment will be at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
