Nina Pearl Pounders Gaskins went home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 23, 2007.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, March 25, 2007 at 2 PM in the Kistler-Hardee Funeral Home Chapel, conducted by the Reverend Jim Yarian. Interment will follow in the Grove Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Gaskins was born in Anniston, Alabama on October 7, 1945, a daughter of Aaron and Ona Pounders of Russellville, Alabama. She resided in Darlington for more than 40 years. Mrs. Gaskins was a long time member of the Gregg Avenue Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her father and a brother, Paul Pounders. Mrs. Gaskins was a loving mother, wife, and friend and she will be sorely missed.

Survivors include her husband, Charles L. Gaskins of the home, one son, Richard James (Stevette) Young, Jr. of Dovesville, her mother, Ona Pounders of Russellville, AL, one sister, Jeri Hamilton of Russellville, AL, three brothers, Aaron Lamar Pounders, Steve Pounders, and Michael Pounders, all of Jacksonville, FL, two grandchildren, "Bo" Young and Gavin Young of Dovesville, several nephews, grand-nephew, nieces, and grand-nieces.
