Three Rivers; James Howard WAGNER Sr., 86, of 13232 Harder Road, Three Rivers, died May 6, 1997, at Three Rivers Area Hospital.
He was born Feb. 21, 1911, a son of Irvin L. and Eunice Belle (SNOOK) WAGNER, and graduated from Colon High School.
After moving to Three Rivers 67 years ago, he was employed by Essex Wire until his retirement in 1974. He was a member of the Three Rivers Moose Lodge and enjoyed gardening, hunting and ice fishing.
Surviving are three sons and daughters-in-law, James Jr. and Janet WAGNER, Robert and Vicki WAGNER and Randall WAGNER, all of Three Rivers; three daughters and sons-in-law, Janice and Steve MEINTS, Marge and Bill PIERCE and Myrna KEEFER, all of Three Rivers; 14 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren; five brothers, George WAGNER of Union City, Robert WAGNER of Sturgis, Irvin WAGNER Jr. of Sturgis, Raymond John WAGNER of Colon and Harry WAGNER of Tustin; three sisters, Murriel HOVARTER of Colon, and Nettie McGILL and Pearl SKEELS, both of Sturgis; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Russell and Ronald; one sister, Beatrice V. SCHULL, and one brother, Earl S. WAGNER.
Relatives and friends may call from 1-3 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at the Hohner Funeral Home of Three Rivers. Cremation will follow. Burial of the cremains will be at 2:30 Tuesday at Lakeside Cemetery, Colon.
Memorials may be directed to the family. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
