He was a graduate from Sherman High School and the University of Texas.
He married Miss Marjorie Marie Fox, a registered nurse. He was a retired engineer at Mobil Oil Corporation and a member of St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church in Beaumont.
He was survived by his wife; son William Brian Arrington of Houston, Texas; daughters, Julia Ann McFarland of Harrington, Delaware, Mary Elizabeth Bowling of Plano, Texas and Cecele Marie Flanary of Ada, Michigan; and 11 grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated by Rev. Richard DiStefano at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church. Graveside services and internment were held at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Sherman.
Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Broussard's Mortuary, Beaumont.

Bill grew up in the Sherman area and went to Sherman High School and then on to University of Texas where he graduated in 1947 with a BS in Chemical Engineering.
He started working for Mobil Oil the day after graduation and, unlike today, worked there until his retirement in 1985. He held a number of positions, and moved his family from Texas to New York to New Jersey, to Indiana to California, back to Indiana and finally back to Beaumont a few short years before his retirement. His most important role was his stint as father of five, including Johnny, Ann, Mary, Cecele and Brian and husband to Margie.
