Son of Colonel Warren and Lydia Crary Clark, who ran the American House in Potsdam, New York, John W and Isabel (maiden name unknown) Clark at least five children, Luther Eddy, Benjamin C, James, Elizabeth "Lizzie" I and Frank. In A.M. Crary's Memoirs & Memoranda (p. 138) John W is said to have been the first passenger conductor for Ogdensburg & Rouse's Point Railroad. His wife's death followed his within two weeks.
