WINCHESTER, Ind.--Roy Leslie Arnold, 71, R.R. 2, died Saturday in Ball Hospital, Muncie, following a brief illness. He was a native of Owensboro, Ky., and moved to Muncie in 1928. He had lived in the Winchester area since 1961.
Mr. Arnold was a 42-year employee of Delco Battery and retired 10 years ago. He was a member of Sympathy Club of Delco Battery and United Auto Workers Local 489. He attended the Nazarene Church.
Survivors include his wife, Emma; four daughters, Mrs. Mary Smith, Eaton, Mrs. Joan Burtrum, Muncie, Mrs. Phillis Taylor, Michigan City, and Naomi Arnold, at home; three sons, Roy L., Selma, David, Findlay, Ohio, and Marion Calhoun, at home; three sisters, Mrs. Emma New and Mrs. Saddie Creech, both of Muncie, and Mrs. Carrie Love, Georgia; two brothers, Robert and Phil, both of Muncie; 18 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Parson Mortuary Chapel, Muncie. Rev. Dean Pickett will officiate. Burial will follow in Elm Ridge Cemetery, Muncie. Friends may call at the mortuary from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. today or prior to services Monday.
