The couple had three children, Janet Pauline born in 1939, Edward Arnold born in 1942 and Sue Ann born in 1943. The couple lived in Ft Wayne, Indiana and Defiance, Ohio. In Defiance, Lester worked for the Defiance High School for over 29 years in various positions from bus driver to custodian, retiring in 1974.
Lester passed away on August 7, 1988 in Ft Wayne, Indiana.
He is survived by his wife Violet, son Edward, daughters, Janet (Spitler) and Sue Ann Andrist. Burial in the Riverside Cemetery, Defiance, Ohio.
