ARNOLD VICTOR ANDRIST was born December 1, 1910 in Defiance, Ohio, the third child of Edward F. and Addie Andrist. He grew up in Defiance and graduated from high school there.
On August 8, 1934 he married Josephine Pauline Elliott in Defiance. The couple had three children: Kenneth Victor, born in 1936, Sharon Phyllis born in 1942 and Robert Arnold born in 1946.
Arnold worked at the Defiance Machine Works and later at General Motors, Central Foundry Division in Defiance for over 23 years. He died February 12, 1992 in Defiance, he is survived by his wife, Josephine and son, Kenneth and wife Dot, daugther Sharon and husband Robert Armstrong. His son, Robert died in 1969. He is buried at the Riverside Cemetery.
