Mildred Anderson, 89, of Havana Health Care died there Friday, May 17, 2002.

Born May 8, 1913, in McLeansboro to James L. and Grace Eva Russell Wheeler, she married Ernest Claire Arnold on Oct. 2, 1935. He died June 7, 1966.

She later married Max Anderson. He preceded her in death.

She also was preceded in death by one grandson, four sisters and two brothers.

Surviving are one son, Robert Arnold of Havana; one brother, Roy Wheeler of Makanda; and one sister, Wilma Bilsbourough of Anoka, Minn.

A graduate of Canton Cosmetology School, she worked as a beautician in Havana for many years.

She was a Mason County 4-H leader and a member of the Mason County Home Extension and the Mason District Hospital Auxiliary Pink Ladies.

Graveside services will be at Laurel Hill Cemetery.
