Both had never been married and they enjoyed working together and often would socialize. At Roy Oliver Disney's suggestion, Edna introduced Roy's older brother Raymond to Meredith at a church social. After dating one another for a year or so, and falling in love, Raymond and Meredith were married in a small family gathering, and Edna and Roy attended their nuptials, performed by an Episcopal Priest, and both couples were very happy and often they would socialize together and they remained close family and friends for the rest of their lives, respectively! Meredith, Edna, and Lillian Bounds Disney (Walt's wife) remained close family for the rest of their lives!
Her sons are Charles Elias Disney and her adopted son is Daniel Harwood Disney. Meredith's late daughter-in-law was married to Charles Elias and she was Mary Elizabeth O'Brien Disney. Meredith had one grandson who was Charles Roy "Charlie" Disney. Both mother and son lost their lives in an automobile mishap many years earlier. And her other grandson who was later adopted by Charles Elias Disney was Cristian Petrea Disney.
Meredith was formerly married to Charles W. Fisher, and they had one son James C. Fisher. Her daughter-in-law was Phyllis Ann Fisher and her two grandchildren were Jeff James Fisher and Jennifer Ann Fisher and several great-grandchildren.
Later, after Meredith had passed away in 1998, her son, Charles Elias Disney adopted Cristian Petrea in 1999 when he was five years of age after his parents, who were originally from Romania, were Lucian "Luke" Petrea and Maria "Mary" Petrea, who both had died in a circus accident, and he became Cristian Petrea Disney. Cristian passed away in Romania on May 10, 2018 at the age of 24 after suffering cardiomegaly or enlarged heart.
Other close Disney family included three brothers-in-law Herbert Arthur Disney (Louise), Roy Oliver Disney (Edna), Walter Elias Disney (Lillian), and one sister-in-law Ruth Flora Disney Beecher (Theodore).
Meredith Disney was a music teacher and she was an accomplished pianist, violinist, composer and lyricist for many years. She co-founded LodeStar Pictures, an early private feature film financing enterprise. This enterprise originated in Kansas City and then to Los Angeles and moved to Paramount Pictures Studios in Hollywood and then to Walt Disney Productions in Burbank and finally was in the historic First National Building on Highland Avenue and Hollywood Boulevard until the entity merged with another film company many years ago.
Meredith was quite active in the Roman Catholic Church and she actively served with her nephew Roy Edward Disney and his wife Patricia Ann "Patty" Disney and many others, on the original committee that was organized to assist and advise +His Eminence Cardinal Roger M. Mahony, the Archbishop of Los Angeles, to build the new Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels in downtown Los Angeles. Sadly, Meredith passed away before the new Cathedral was dedicated in 2002. She was also quite active with Catholic Charities and Meredith and her very close lifetime friend who was actress Rosalind Russell raised many funds for numerous Catholic and other philanthropies. When Meredith had converted to Roman Catholicism, Rosalind Russell was one of her sponsors.
She actively supported the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra and she worked with Lillian Disney and Diane Disney Miller raising funds for the new Walt Disney Concert Hall also in downtown Los Angeles. Meredith always was cheerful and so generous and she was always willing to encourage others to "do their very best with everything in their lives!"
Meredith was a strong supporter of the Shriner's Hospital for Crippled Children (later named the Shriner's Hospital for Children) in Los Angeles as her husband Raymond Arnold Disney was an active Mason and Shriner for many years! Also, her former husband who was Charles W, Fisher, was an active Mason and Shriner until the time of his passing. Also, Meredith supported St. Jude Children's Research Hospital that was originally founded by longtime close friend, the late entertainer, Danny Thomas!
Meredith's Mass of Christian Burial was held in Our Lady of Malibu Catholic Church in Malibu, CA on Saturday morning, February 14, 1998 with His Eminence Cardinal Roger M. Mahony as the main celebrant. She was then entombed in Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in Culver City, CA in the Risen Christ Mausoleum in the Holy Redeemer Chapel. Many of Meredith's close friends have also been laid to rest in this same cemetery across many years.

Meredith A. Disney's crypt in Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery (Holy Redeemer Mausoleum Chapel) in Culver City, California is quite beautiful. Fresh flowers are regularly placed in the flower vase on the face of the marble crypt by her sons and friends.
