Harry Eugene Bauder was born 12 June 1911, Williamson Co., IL, the son of Fred Holmes and Mary Jane "Jennie" Burnett Bauder. He was married 23 June 1934, in Dix, Jefferson Co., IL, to (Ruby) Irene Ayre. Mr. Bauder died on 11 Oct 1999, just seven months after the death of his beloved wife, Irene, in Peoria, IL, at the age of 88. Mr. Bauder taught machine shop in the vocational shools in Peoria. He then received his Master's Degree at Bradley University in Peoria, and taught social studies and stage activities in the Peoria Schools. He was also assistant track coach there and took movies of athletic events for the use of his coaching staff. He and Irene both retired in 1974. Mr. Bauder was a member of Maronic Illinois Lodge No. 263, A.F. & A.M. . He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and helping Irene with her genealogy work. In earlier years, they were both active in church activities at the Presbyterian Church in Peoria. He was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother. There are no children. Masonic services were held at Cumerford-Endsley-Diggle Funeral Home in Peoria with visition there on Thursday. Services were held at Osborn Funeral Home in Dix, IL, on Friday, 15 Oct 1999, the Rev. Alice True officiation. Interment in Zion Grove Cemetery, Dix., Jefferson Co., IL.
