Shallenburger was born may 22, 1937 at Treece, Kansas, She had lived the past 29 years in Joplin, moving from Galena. She was a clerk for several years for Hall's Food Mart Stores. She was a member of Empire Mission Church, Galena.
She married Everett Shallenburger on Oct 7, 1955 at Miami, Ok he survives
Additional survivors include a daughter Debra Gerlt, three brothers, Charles Sliger and Ira Sliger Jr., and Bill Sliger, Two sisters Virla Waggoner and LaWanda Lamb and two grandchildren.
Services were held Saturday at Empire Mission Church, Galena Rev. Bob Winnett officiated Burial was in Lowell Cemetery
