Article from the Times-Picayune, New Orleans, Sept. 14, 1900, page 11: Mrs. Fannie May Pye (special to the Picayune) Arcadia, La., Sept 12 - Mrs. Fannie May Pye, nee Powell, wife of Cashier Pye of the Leesville Bank died this morning at the residence of her parents in Arcadia, and she will be buried this evening in the Arcadia Cemetery. The bereaved husband and relatives have the sympathy of the community in this sad affliction. The deceased was only about 23 years old, and her future was promising.
