FUNERAL SERVICES HELD FOR JOHN RUFUS JONES
Funeral services for John Rufus Jones, 43, of Echols, who died at this home Friday afternoon, January 18, following an illness of one year, were conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, at the Echols General Baptist church, with the Rev. Henry Baize officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
A retired farmer, Mr. Jones was a member of the Echols Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Becky David Jones; 6 daughters, Mrs. Mamie Dockery of Butler County, Mrs. Hester Arnold of Cleaton, KY., Mrs Nancy Tooley of Central City, Mrs. Ruthie Baize of McHenry, Mrs. Anna Mary Brathcher of Echols and Mrs. Jessie Lois Keon of Evansville; 3 sons, Mance Jones of Rockport, KY., William and Mitchell Jones both of Echols; 2 sisters, Mrs. Anna Geary and Mrs. Lillie Bullock, both of Nelson, KY.; 3 brothers, Thomas Jones, of Owensboro, Arbie Jones of Chicago and Russell Jones of Arkansas.

The Cecil Chinn Funeral Home, McHenry, was in charge of the funeral service.
