Samantha J. Rocha-Dyer, of Acton, California, passed to a much happier place, Sunday, April 17, 2011, here in Acton, California.

Our Samantha was born in Santa Clarita, November 13,1995 to Deborah S. Rocha and Mathieu P. Dyer, with her siblings Salvador, Diana, and Joseph accompanied by Grandma Barbara ready to love her. From early on, Samantha was creative and a very special young lady. At a young age, she was exposed to music, tap and ballet classes as well as painting. As she grew, she came to love her horse Mia, riding with Blue Shadows Drill Team and Mountain Springs Vaulting Team. Music continued to grow in Samantha's heart along with her love to be with her siblings and her soon to be "sister," Jacquelynn, whether it was motorcycle riding, out on the lake tubing, or in the kitchen making pancakes and brownies. Serving as Vasquez High School Mascot, Samantha shared her humor and desire to make a difference, reaching out to others, and volunteering with various community organizations. In between maintaining her grades in high school, Samantha regularly visited our library to get a new book and meet with the kids she tutored. She worked at developing her music skills, playing with our Harmonic Bronze Handbell Ensemble group and her band, Quarantine.

Samantha is survived by her mother, Deborah S. Rocha, her father, Mathieu P. Dyer, her siblings Salvador Jauregui III and his wife Jacquelynn Jauregui, Diana Jauregui and her husband Sid, with their kids Drayton and Jemilah, and Joseph Jauregui; her Uncles Anthony and Wade, God Parents Ricardo and Rosalba Jauregui and their boys Frank and Ricky. Her grand parents Barbara Hernandez and John and Paula Clevenger will continue to miss her as well.

The memorial services to celebrate my daughter's life will be held Saturday, April 23,2011 at 4:30 PM, High Desert Middle School, followed by graveside services at Acton Cemetery, 6:00 p.m., and a Community Gathering at our Acton/Agua Dulce Christopher Colombo Brevidoro Library @ 7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Harmonic Bronze Handbell Ensemble, care of Acton- Agua Dulce Unified School District. Published in Santa Clarita Valley Signal on April 22, 2011
