Our beloved husband, father and grandfather, Stephen David Ashby, was called home February 3, 1992, in Salt Lake City.
Born September 12, 1933 in Spanish Fork, Utah, a son of Elias and Marjorie Cook Ashby. Married Shanna Witt May 3, 1956, in the Manti LDS Temple. Devoted member of the LDS Church. Fulfilled mission to the Eastern States Mission. Served in Bishopric, High Council and numerous other church positions. He was an avid BYU fan.
Survived by: Wife, Shanna Witt Ashby; three daughters and two sons, Shanna and Mike Cote; Teresa and Darin Harris; Ryan and Michelle Ashby, all of Salt Lake City; Trent Ashby, U.S. Armed Forces, Germany; Vickie Ashby, Newport Beach, Calif.; seven grandchildren, Kinsey, Clint, Kami, Bree, Cade, Caleb and Kortney; four brothers and three sisters, Edward, Lloyd,
Kenneth and Marvin Ashby; Mrs. Lynn (Maretta) Koyle; Maxine Johns; Mrs. Kenneth (LaVeta)
Nelson. Preceded in death by brother, Reed Ashby.
Funeral services will be held Friday, 11 a.m., at the Taylorsville Gardens 1st Ward, 4252 South Bennion Road. Friends may call Thursday, 5-8 p.m., at McDougal Golden Rule Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, and Friday at the church, 10-10:40 a.m
