Shanna Deen Witt Ashby, beloved mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother, joined her eternal sweetheart March 10, 2000.
Born April 18, 1933 to Kenneth S. and Sarah Theora Witt. Married Stephen David Ashby May 3, 1956 in the Manti LDS Temple; he pre-ceded her in death. She was a devoted LDS Church member having served in numerous positions, but her most cherished callings were that of mother, grandmother andgreat-grandmother. Her volunteer work at Primary Children's Hospital brought her unlimited joy and carried her through her own medical challenges.
Survived by children, Shanna Lee (Michael) Cote, Vickie Ashby, Teresa (Darin) Harris, Stephen Trent (Kristine) Ashby, Ryan (Michelle) Ashby; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandson; sisters and brothers, Joanne (Faye) Mattinson, Norman (LuAnn) Witt, Kenneth (Karen) Witt and Claudia (Ted) Johnson.
Funeral services will be held Mon., 11 a.m. at the Taylorsville Gardens 1st Ward, 4252 South Bennion Road (1905 W.) Friends may call Sunday, 5-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road and Monday at the church, 10-10:40 a.m. Interment, Taylorsville Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Primary Children's Hospital in her memory.
