BIOGRAPHY:
Jesse Allen Corbin was born February 13, 1878 in Petersburg, Menard County, Illinois to William L. Corbin and LouAnn Bailey.

His siblings were Lucy J. Corbin Burrus (see her obituary); Martha Lee "Mattie" Corbin Henderson; Silas Franklin Corbin (with biography); and Thomas Corbin

On the 1900 Washington Territory Census, Jessie Corbin (Age 22) is living in Sumas, Whatcom, Washington with his brother Silas Franklin 'Frank' Corbin (Age 28).

Within a few months after the 1900 census was taken, Jesse married Minnie Mitchell on September 5, 1900 in Whatcom county, Washington. On the marriage application, Jesse himself recorded his parents as William and LouAnn Bailey Corbin. Jesse's brother, Silas Frank Corbin signed as a witness. The marriage was filed in Whatcom county auditors office on September 18, 1900.

Jesse worked as a Foreman with the Railroad before becoming a farmer.

Children born to this marriage union were Alice Lucy Corbin and Richard Corbin. An infant son, Frederick A. Corbin preceded Jesse in death. Also preceded in death was Jesse's son, Richard in 1953, California.

Survivors are his wife Minnie, daughter Alice L. Corbin Williams (Dwight); and his brother S. Frank Corbin (Unie), Tonasket, Washington. Jesse's sister Martha 'Mattie' Henderson, Lawrence, Kansas, passed away four days earlier on April 13, 1956.

Jesse passed away April 17, 1956 in Bellingham, Whatcom County, Washington. (Due to damaged microfilm, an original obituary has not been located by the libraries in Whatcom County.)

Jesse's wife, Minnie, passed away exactly 13 months later on May 17, 1957, also in Bellingham, Washington.
