SKOWHEGAN - Jeanette P. Cody died on her 90th birthday, March 3, 2011, with family by her side at Redington Fairview General Hospital in Skowhegan. She was born in Skowhegan on March 3, 1921, the daughter of the late Dora (Lemieux) LaCasse Morissette, and Olin C. LaCasse, and she lived her entire life in her home on East Leavitt Street.
Jeanette graduated from Skowhegan High School and Bloomfield Academy, and later she studied at Skowhegan Business School. She was the office manager for the W.T. Grant Co., and later the J.C. Penney Co. In Skowhegan until it closed.
Following a stroke in 2005, her grandson, Ryan, was never far from "Nana's" side.
Jeanette is survived by her husband, Bernard F. Cody; daughter Bonita MacLean Quinn and her husband, Colin, of Skowhegan; daughter Debra Cody Steward and her husband, Philip, of Pepperrell, Mass.; two grandsons, Ryan Quinn of Concord, N.H., and Garrett Quinn of Forest, Va.; and two granddaughters, Kate Steward, and Beth Steward of Boston, Mass. She has two great-grandchildren, Jackson and Ellie Quinn; and two special cousins, Shirley Mooney of Falmouth and Sally Gilblair Hadley of Cape Elizabeth.

The family is indebted to her loyal friend, Patricia Bowditch, of Skowhegan.

Graveside services will be held at Calvary Cemetery in Skowhegan. (Morning Sentinel 3/5/2011)
