Funeral services for Mr. Bobby Lewis Buford, 73, of Livingston, were conducted at 11 a.m. on Thursday, January 1, 2009, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home, with Bro. Donald Cobb and Bro. Baley Fred Allred, III officiating.

Burial was in the Overton County Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Buford died Monday, December 29, 2008 at St. Mary's Knoxville. He was the longtime owner of Bob's Auto Parts and Buford's Auto Sales. Mr. Buford was also a member and Deacon of First Baptist Church, a member of West Fork
Masonic Lodge, and a faithful servant to the Gideons for many years.

Born April 19, 1935 in Clay County, he was the son of the late Haskell Lee and Allie (Fletcher) Buford. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Peggy Smith, and 3 brothers, Fred Buford, Billy Frank
Buford and Charles Buford.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Judith Buford of Livingston; 3 sons and daughters-in-law, Stephen and Lisa Buford of Knoxville, Greg and Christy Buford of Powder Springs, GA, and Timothy and Karen Buford, International
Baptist Missionaries; 2 brothers, Raymond Buford of Battle Creek, MI and Joe Buford of Cookeville; a sister, Alice Sewell of Algood; 7 grandchildren, Tanner Buford, Weston Buford, Alexis Buford, Kristen Buford, Avery Buford,
Lance Buford, and Sophia Buford; and several nieces and nephews whom he dearly loved.

Pallbearers were Mark Copeland, Jeff Copeland, John Copeland, Derrick Copeland, Chris Copeland, David Ashburn, Deil Ashburn, David Buford, Dennis Buford, and Tanner Buford.
