COOKEVILLE - Funeral services for Peggy Lee Smith, 67, of Cookeville will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 6, from the chapel of Hooper & Huddleston Funeral Home.Burial will follow in Crest Lawn Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 4-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Smith died on Tuesday, Nov. 3, 1998, at Parkview Hospital in Nashville following an extended illness.
She was born on March 28, 1931, in Clay County to the late Haskell Lee and Allie Fletcher Buford. Mrs. Smith was a member of Algood Church of Christ for more than 30 years.
Her family includes her husband of 49 years, Edgar D. Smith; three brothers, Raymond Buford of Battlecreek, Mich., Bobby Buford of Livingston and Joe Buford of Cookeville; and a sister, Alice Sewell of Algood.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Fred, Charlie and Billy Frank Buford, and a sister, Minnie Lou Buford.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association.
Bros. Larry Acuff and Jim Blankenship will officiate at the services.
