Gus V. Botscheller

Gus V. Botscheller, 85, died Monday, Dec. 8, 2003, at Community Hospital East in Indianapolis. He was a resident of Indianapolis.

He was born Dec. 13, 1917, in Indianapolis. His parents were August and Lillian (Pierson) Botscheller. He married Bernice (Lyons) Botscheller on July 3, 1937. She preceded him in death March 28, 2003. Survivors include a daughter, Carolyn Kord; a son, Jerry Botscheller; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

He was employed by Dow Chemical as a superintendent.

He was a member of New Palestine American Legion and Prospect Lodge 714 F&AM.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving in the 86th Airborne Division.

A service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at G.H. Herrmann East Street Funeral Home, 1505 S. East St. in Indianapolis. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Entombment will be at Washington Park East Cemetery in Indianapolis.
