Mrs Cora Lee Evans

Mrs Cora Lee Evans, 85, of R. 1, Loganville, died Sept 10 at Walton County Hospital after a long illness.

Funeral services were held Sept 12 in Williams-Smith’s Chapel. Rev. Carl Ferguson officiated and interment was in Hill Haven Memory Gardens.

Gene Evans, Ronnie Casey, Gar Evans, Richard Wood, Gene Epps, and Russell Howington were pall bearers.

Mrs. Evans was born Aug 6, 1889, and a daughter of the late *Oscar E and Annie Hearndon Epps. She retired as an employee of Monroe Mill in 1949 after 20 years employment there. She was the widow of Grover W Evans and a member of Mars Hill Baptist Church.

Surviving are daughter, Mrs. Floyd Cason of Orlando, Fla; sons, Larry Evans of Loganville and Lawrence Evans of Opelika, Ala; sister Mrs. Lucy Couch of Watkinsville; 23 grandchildren, 18 great grand children.
