Linda Lee had a very happy life growing up in Minden, LA, as the only child of Rubye Lowe and Leland Mims.

Linda Lee married her high school sweetheart, Robert Oliver Martin, Jr. son of Maxine Owen and R. O. Martin.

During the 60's Linda Lee was a librarian at the Shreve Memorial Library.

In 1975 Rob was working for IBM Corp. at Nassau Bay. They lived in Missouri City with their son Robert Martin III. Linda Lee was a homemaker.

By 1985 Linda Lee and Rob had moved to Darien, Connecticut. Rob was Research Market Advisor for IBM and their only son was attending Louisiana Tech. Linda Lee was working in a gift shop.

In 1995 Linda Lee wrote in her Minden High School reunion booklet that she was recovering from a serious bout with lymphoma and was busy now with interior decorating & volunteer work. Rob had recently retired. He was currently trading commodity futures, breeding horseback shooting dogs (English pointers) for field competition, and playing golf.

They lived in Connecticut from 1976-2001 before moving to a suburb southeast of Houston to be near their son Robert Martin, III, who resides in League City with his wife, Kimberly, and their two children, Chloe Lynn and Cameron Oliver.

Linda Lee and Rob Martin enjoyed living in Seabrook, Galveston County, Texas, enjoying retirement and family... especially the grandchildren going to dance recitals
and T-ball games.

Linda Lee lost Rob on August 14, 2010. She would want to
thank all of you for your thoughts and prayers. The last thing she said to Sherry Gritzbaugh was, "I'm tough ...please tell the Minden Memories group how much
I appreciate their prayers. I can feel the prayers and it helps so much." She really did love you folks out there.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Oliver Martin, Jr.,her father, Leland Mims and her mother Rubye Lowe Mims.

She is survived by her son, Robert Oliver Martin III; daughter-in-law, Kimberly Martin; granddaughter, Chloe Lynn Martin; grandson, Cameron Oliver Martin and a host of
friends who loved her.
