Alfred ROPP, W. - Alfred William Ropp, age 83, of Village Manor, Tavistock passed away peacefully, in the palliative care unit of Stratford General Hospital, with family by his side, on Tuesday evening, February 22, 2005, to be present with the Lord. He was born in Hay Township, Huron County on April 8, 1921 a son of the late Samuel Ropp and the former Alvina Baechler. He was a member of East Zorra Mennonite Church, 16th line. Albert was predeceased by his wife of 54 years, the former Verna Gingerich whom he married on March 3, 1945, on June 3, 1999.
